1. LOCATION OF HOUSE:
This home is only 0.2/mi.(a 2 minute walk) from the Pleasant Street Beach on Nantucket Sound, on the south shore of Cape Cod. South shore beaches are about 10 degrees warmer than north shore beaches due to the Gulf Stream, a warm water current, which flows through the Sound and then out to sea at Chatham. In contrast, the north shore has the Labrador Current, a cold water current, which flows through Cape Cod Bay. Our Pleasant Street home is only 3 miles from beautiful downtown Chatham.

2. DESCRIPTION:
This large 6 room, attractively furnished home is a one-story L-shaped home with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths, and it has baseboard hot water gas heat. It has a large living room with fireplace, a pine-paneled dining room, and has the master bedroom (queen) and bath at one end of the house with the other two bedrooms (one with 2 twins and the other with a double) and bath at the opposite end of the house. As the house can accommodate up to 8 people, there is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room as well. The cosy pine-paneled dining room provides adequate eating space and the kitchen is sunny, bright and well-equipped. One has a lovely view of Nantucket Sound from the attractive rooftop deck and it is just a 2 minute walk to the Pleasant Street Beach (no sticker required and limited parking) from our home. There is also a large, private backyard with a picnic table and lawn furniture. Central A/C.

3. ACTIVITIES:
This home is a short drive from the National Seashore Visitor’s Center with its films, museum, guided hiking tours, and lectures, the Marconi transatlantic cable station, many museums, antique shops, whale watches, fishing excursions, seal watches, summer theater both in Chatham and the Cape Playhouse in Dennis, the oldest summer theater in the country, wonderful biking trails, the Chatham lighthouse, weekly band concerts in downtown Chatham, many lovely New England churches of all faiths, great shops in downtown Chatham, etc.

4. SHOPPING:
In addition to the many wonderful shops in Chatham there is a Super Stop and Shop in Harwich on Rt. 137 (about two miles north) for grocery shopping and the Ocean State Job Lot which has recently come to Chatham for all those incidentals and unexpected bargains. Charming shops and antique stores abound throughout the area.

5. NEARBY RESTAURANTS:
There are many excellent restaurants nearby in both Chatham and Harwich Port, among them Pates’, Chatham Seafood Restaurant, Cream ‘n Cone for casual dining with fantastic seafood, and The Wayside Inn. There are also many places to get fresh lobster and other seafood, as well as getting it right off the fishing pier, if you care to cook these at home. We have a lobster pot!

6. PETS:
We do allow pets with prior approval from us and with an additional $200. pet deposit, fully refundable if there is no damage.

7. AMENITIES:
There is a washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave oven, VCR, cable TV, hi-speed internet access, lawn furniture and picnic table, and the kitchen is well-equipped for meal preparation (including a lobster pot, a must on Cape Cod!)

8. DEPOSITS REQUIRED:
Tthere is a 50% deposit, a $300. security deposit and a $135. cleaning deposit due on signing the lease (both deposits are fully refundable if the house is left clean and there is no damage).  You have a choice of either having a cleaning service for the cleaning deposit or doing your own cleaning upon departure, in which case the cleaning deposit will be refunded.

9. HOW TO ARRANGE TO RECEIVE A LEASE FOR YOUR PREFERRED VACATION TIME:
We will email you a lease which we ask that you please sign and send to our son, Mark Perry, a ReMax realtor, who handles the receipt of the leases for us.  Please return both the $300. security deposit and the cleaning deposit (both fully refundable if the house is left clean and there is no damage) along with 2 copies of the lease and we will sign one copy and return it to you along with directions to our home.  The balance of the rental payment is due one month prior to the start date of your occupancy.

1. LOCATION: This home is 0.6 /mi. from lovely Cockle Cove Beach which is a lifeguard-protected public beach (beach stick required in-season), also on Nantucket Sound, with ample parking and it is only two miles from downtown Chatham.

2. DESCRIPTION: This is a 4 room, 2 bathroom home with a large living room with fireplace and dining area, a well-equipped kitchen with washer, dryer and dishwasher, a queen master bedroom and new bath, a second bedroom with twin beds and a second full bath. There is a double pull-out sofa in the living room as well as the house can accommodate up to 6 people. There is a very private back yard with picnic table, grill and lawn furniture. The home is centrally heated with gas hot air. Central A/C.

3. AMENITIES: There is a stack washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave oven, grill and lawn furniture, cable TV, VCR, internet access, Central A/C, and a lobster pot (a MUST on Cape Cod!)
